About

I started Brave Sound Productions in 2020 as a bedroom studio recording my friends. It quickly grew into a full-service live event production team doing live sound, streaming, and videography for venues like the Manhattan School of Music, Jazz at Lincoln Center, NJPAC, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.

After several years running my own projects, I moved into institutional roles: first as Audio-Visual Manager at Columbia University, managing a team of technicians, infrastructure upgrades, and hundreds of high-profile events; then as the primary A1 engineer for Citigroup Global HQ Auditorium and the VESPA broadcast control room, where I designed and tuned systems, supported large multifloor Dante and NDI networks, and built a Python-based control interface for their flagship spaces.

Today I’m a freelance AV specialist. I work as an A1 engineer, AV integrator, and control systems programmer for clients including JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Rockefeller Capital Management, ServiceNow, TradeWeb, New York Presbyterian, Everest Insurance, and others. I also co-run Studio San, our three-room home studio and creative lab in Brooklyn.

In addition to engineering and integration work, I also staff AVL technicians for live events. Over the years I’ve built long-term relationships with some of NYC’s top audio, video, and lighting freelancers, and I regularly assemble crews tailored to the scale and needs of each event.

I have experience managing crews of up to 20 technicians across multiple simultaneous events, handling scheduling, roles, communication, and on-site coordination so productions run smoothly from load-in to strike.

Studio San

Brooklyn home base for recording, mixing, and video.

Studio San is the three-room home studio I run with Dor Chaviv. It’s built around a 40×40 Dante network, high-end preamps (UAD, RME, FMR, and more), and broadcast-quality NDI video capture for live sessions and music videos.

We’ve collected a deep mic locker, amps, acoustic instruments, and synths. The space is meant to feel intimate but capable—perfect for bands, small ensembles, and content creation.

  • 40×40 Dante networked audio
  • Multi-camera NDI video workflow
  • Dedicated control room + live rooms
  • Flexible routing for sessions, livestreams, and overdubs

Control Freak – custom AV control

Control Freak is a Python-based interface I designed for auditorium and broadcast spaces. It lets operators route audio, fire presets, and manage displays from a clean, purpose-built desktop app—no hardware control processor required.

Highlights

  • Extron XTP II 64×64 router control with clear, color-coded routing.
  • Display and projector control via network and serial protocols.
  • Profiles for different events: town halls, panels, livestreams, and more.
  • Designed for operators who need speed and reliability under pressure.
